Carcassonne fortress
Carcassonne
Carcassonne is a relatively small town in Southern France, about 40 minutes drive from Toulouse and from the Mediterranean coast. Nowadays it is separated into the fortified Cité de Carcassonne and the more expansive lower city, the ville basse (as per WikiPedia). The place has a LOT of history and first settlements go back to 3500 BC, but more modern history starts from about the 6th centure BC.
Pennautier
Pennautier is a small village a couple of miles North West of Carcassonne. The place is nice and very quiet. There’s a chateau (Château de Pennautier) and a vineyard.
Friends’ visit
Vlad and Marina (friends, colleagues) came to see us back in September. Here are some pictures related to that visit:
P.S. It seems both Daniel and Samuel already know their way to woo a nice lady 😉

Munich
Last weekend Mr. Gurevych Senior (or rather the-one-in-between) went to Munich to celebrate birthday of his friend Vlad. Igor, another friend from Prague, also joined the gang. Here’s how it all (well, not ALL) looked like :
P.S. This post contains a special THANK YOU to Mrs. Gurevych who bravely stayed at home looking after the two little cuttiest of all kids for the whole 4 days! Her score of well deserved days off is now measured in 2 or even 3 digits!
