Family day out in Bournemouth
Samuel
Hello 8,300 byee!
Daniel can, apparently, say Hello and Bye but in his own Daniel’s way. It sounds more like “eyooow” and “wyee” or something like that but we are still very proud of him for doing that! Even despite the fact he managed to say Hellow to ALL the people we met with him on a shopping mall trip last Friday 🙂
And Samuel … well, that’s a different story! Being 5 months and 9 days the little guy weighs an impressive 8,3kg! We have just recently started to give him some solid food (nothing fancy though, just rice) so we’ll see how it all works for him!
Birthdays, Bristol Zoo, Samuel’s first solid food
It was a really busy weekend for us, the 3rd and the 4th of July.
3rd of July 2010 is when Daniel turned 18 … month, and Samuel – 5! So we decided to celebrate their mini-birthdays somehow. Bristol Zoo was among other options to choose from (along with – lets not go anywhere and just hide and lets hope the kids will spend the day sleeping 🙂 ) so we bravely headed to Bristol and spent quite a pleasant day in the Zoo.
Since approximately June (or even May), Samuel started to look straight into your mouth whenever you’d sit down and grab some food – they say it is one of the signs it is time to give the baby some solid food. So we decided to combine the mini-birthday celebrations with actually giving our little one some baby rice – it went more or less OK, a bit messy, but we think he quite liked it and ate the whole 2 little spoons! Next day he managed 4, so he’s well on his way!
And here is how it all looked like (in no particular order):

“cup” is the word
It seems the first word Daniel has consciously said is … “cup” 🙂
And Samuel can now crawl just a little bit, although he is not enjoying the process. But he likes to be stand when we help him with it!
More updates soon!
Cudlik and Koosyomik
It has been a while since we called Daniel “our Cudlik”. A Cudlik is a little person who likes to have a cuddle. He’s not so much after our cuddles right now, very independant and very active little man. But not so much time ago he would love a cuddle or two, so Cudlik was his nick name.
As to Samuel – somehow we’ve called him “our Koosyomik” – no idea what this means but it sounds pretty cool and cute. It has originated from Samuel – Syoma – Syomik …
I hope the little people will enjoy their nick names when they are a bit older too 🙂
